Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Giwa, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, led heads of sister security and law enforcement agencies in the State under the Forum of Interagency Security Heads in Enugu State (FISHES) to pay tribute to the late Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Franklin Onyekwelu Agbakoba, during his Lying-in-State at the FRSC Sector Command Headquarters, GRA, Enugu.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, CP Giwa described the deceased as a dependable partner, committed professional and valuable member of the interagency security community, whose contributions to collective security and road safety in the State were impactful and highly appreciated.
The Commissioner noted that the late Sector Commander was a regular and active participant in FISHES meetings, where he made useful contributions to security deliberations and brought his professional experience and practical perspectives to bear in addressing security and traffic-related challenges in the State. He also recalled his warmth, camaraderie and characteristic humour, which often added a refreshing touch to meetings and social gatherings organised to celebrate or bid farewell to members of the Forum.
CP Giwa, on behalf of the security heads, commiserated with the family of the deceased, officers and men of the FRSC, and other colleagues and associates, praying that God Almighty grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the soul of the departed eternal repose.
The tribute formed part of the activities marking the Lying-in-State of the late Sector Commander, with representatives of sister security and law enforcement agencies joining the FRSC family to honour his memory and recognise his service to the State and the nation..
