Celestine Chukwu emerges ADC House of Assembly candidate for Aninri constituency


Hon. Celestine Chukwu has emerged winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary election for the Aninri State Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general election.
The keenly contested primary election was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner, with party faithful and delegates participating in the exercise alongside governorship, senatorial and House of Assembly primaries.
Speaking to Newsmen shortly after his victory, Chukwu expressed gratitude to ADC members and supporters who turned out in large numbers for the exercise. He described the election as transparent and successful, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him by the party.
He highlighted his contributions to community development, particularly in youth empowerment and other intervention programmes, noting that his philanthropic efforts have positively impacted many residents of the constituency.


According to him, his entry into partisan politics is driven by a desire to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the people of Aninri and that their interests are effectively represented.


Chukwu also extended an olive branch to his fellow contestants, urging them to unite behind the party’s candidate and work together towards victory in the 2027 general election.
He pledged to provide innovative and people-oriented representation for the people of Aninri Constituency if elected.

A stakeholder from Aninri Local Government Area, Hon. Ibekwe Raymond, commended the conduct of the primary election, describing it as free, fair and peaceful.
