Secretary to Enugu State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, Thursday , inaugurated the digitized office and work flow system of the Enugu state Housing Corporation aimed at achieving transparency, accountability traceability, and investor confidence.
Performing the inauguration at the Enugu State Housing Corporation ,Headquarters, Prof Onyia described the transformation as a major milestone in the state government’s drive towards transparency, traceability and efficiency technology-driven governance and public service delivery reform.
According to him, the digitalization of the Housing Development Corporation would boost investor confidence by guaranteeing secure, verifiable and transparent land administration processes.
“What we are doing today is just part of the journey set out by Governor Peter Mbah on assumption of office. This initiative is to ensure transparency, accountability and traceability in governance,” Onyia stated.
He noted that the new system would allow residents and investors to verify land documents digitally, process transactions online and access services without unnecessary bottlenecks or extortion.

The SSG explained that technology had become a critical tool for monitoring operations, managing public resources and improving service delivery, stressing that Enugu State was positioning itself as a trusted investment destination.
He commended the staff of the Housing Corporation for aligning with the vision of the administration and urged them to sustain the culture of excellence and professionalism.

Earlier, the head of the Administration Department, Dr Precious Nnaji , described the digitization project as a landmark achievement that would reposition the corporation for improved productivity and operational efficiency.
She explained that the digital workflow system would enhance record management, strengthen communication channels, improve document processing and ensure better data security across departments.
Dr. Nnaji added that the initiative would reduce delays associated with manual operations while improving accuracy and institutional coordination within the corporation.
She thanked Governor Mbah , the SSG, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Revenue Mobilization, Mrs Adenike Okebu, the Special Adviser on ICT, Nnamani Ani, technical partners for their support.
In a remark, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Revenue Mobilization, Mrs Adenike Okebu said the project aligns with the vision of the Enugu State Government in promoting innovation, accountability and efficient public service delivery through modern technology.
She appreciated Governor Mbah for supporting the modernization of public institutions in the state.
She also acknowledged the contributions of the Secretary to the state Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, the Special Adviser on ICT, Nnamani Ani, technical partners and members of staff whose efforts ensured the successful implementation of the project.
