Enugu state Governor ,Dr Peter Mbah, his Deputy , Ifeanyi Ossai, Secretary to the state Government,Prof Chidiebere Onyia and other sympathisers have paid tributes to the late Mrs. Loratto Nwakaego Agbo, mother of the Enugu State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr. Malachy Agbo.
They described Mrs Agbo, who was laid to rest on Saturday , August 1, 2026 in her home in Achara ,Ohodo , Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu state, as a woman of exceptional virtue, unwavering faith and selfless service whose legacy will continue to inspire generations.

In separate condolence messages to the commissioner, Governor Mbah and his deputy expressed sympathy with the Agbo family, urging them to find comfort in the exemplary life their matriarch lived.
Governor Mbah, on behalf of the government and people of Enugu State, said the late Mrs. Agbo’s passing was the loss of “a priceless source of love, wisdom, strength and guidance.”
He noted that although death reminds humanity of life’s transient nature, it also provides an opportunity to celebrate a life of impact and cherished memories.
“
From all accounts, your late mother was a woman of remarkable virtue, faith and devotion, whose life was dedicated to the well-being of her family and service to humanity,” the governor said.
He encouraged the bereaved family to draw strength from the enduring legacy she left behind, adding that her values and exemplary character would continue to resonate through the generations she nurtured.
Deputy Governor Ifeanyi Ossai also described the deceased as a humble and kind-hearted woman whose rooted Catholic faith and commitment to community service left an indelible mark on those who knew her.

According to Ossai, testimonies from people who interacted with Mrs. Agbo reflected the values she instilled in her family, especially in her son, whom he commended for his calm disposition in managing the state’s information ministry.
“I urge you to take solace in our commitment to the teaching of our faith, that there is life after death, and the existence of reward that awaits her for her good deeds and service to community,” the deputy governor stated.:

A biography of the deceased described Mrs. Loretto Nwakaego Agbo, popularly known as Loretto, as a woman of exceptional strength, resilience, generosity and unwavering faith.
