All Progressives Congress has released its timetable for the 2027 general elections, fixing its presidential primary for May 15–16, 2026, and pegging the cost of its nomination form at ₦100m.
The schedule, signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, outlines a tight election calendar:
April 25 – May 2, 2026: Sale of nomination & expression of interest forms
May 4, 2026: Deadline for submission of completed forms
May 6 – May 8, 2026: Screening of aspirants
May 11, 2026: Release of screening results
May 12 – May 13, 2026: Appeals
May 15 – May 16, 2026: Presidential primary election
May 18, 2026: House of Representatives primaries
May 20, 2026: Senate primaries
May 21, 2026: State House of Assembly primaries
May 23, 2026: Governorship primaries
May 25, 2026: Conclusion of appeals
All primaries are scheduled to be concluded within eight days.
The party has set the following fees for aspirants:
Presidential: ₦100m
₦30m (Expression of Interest)
₦70m (Nomination)
Governorship: ₦50m
Senate: ₦20m
House of Representatives: ₦10m
State House of Assembly: ₦6m
The APC also announced concessions for female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities, who are required to pay only for the expression of interest form and 50% of the nomination fee.
The timetable, according to the party, aligns with provisions of the Electoral Act, its constitution, and guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission, setting the stage for what is expected to be a high-stakes contest ahead of 2027.
