Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Mamman Giwa, has commended workers across the State and Nigeria on the 2026 International Workers’ Day, recognising their resilience, discipline, and invaluable contributions to peace, social stability, and economic development.
The CP notes that the commitment and sacrifices of workers remain critical to sustaining order and driving growth, despite prevailing security and socio-economic challenges. He emphasised that a secure environment is fundamental to productivity and national progress.
Police Public Relations Officer of the
Enugu State Command, State Headquarters, SP Daniel Ndukwe, in a statement made available to Newsmen on Friday in Enugu said that CP Giwa reaffirms the Command’s resolve to sustain proactive policing and strengthen public safety measures to ensure that workers and residents carry out their lawful activities without fear.
He further urged workers and the general public to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and security conscious, and to promptly report suspicious activities to the Police through established channels.
The Commissioner wishes all workers a safe and rewarding Workers’ Day celebration.
