The endorsement came during a thank-you visit by a delegation of Ozalla indigenes to the Governor Mbah’s country home in Owo, Nkanu East LGA, where they gathered to express appreciation for what they described as unprecedented government presence in the area.

Speaking at the event t, the leader of he delegation, President-General of the Ozalla Development Union (ODU), Obiora Okwuibe, lauded Governor Mbah’s leadership and developmental interventions in the community.
According to him, Ozalla had benefited significantly from the governor’s administration through key appointments and projects.
“We commit ourselves to full political mobilisation across our community, ensuring massive voter turnout and delivering overwhelming support for your re-election.”

Okwuibe commended the governor for facilitating the appointment of Kingsley Tochi Udeh as Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, as well as the appointments of Dan Nwomeh, Prof. Uchenna Agu, and Francis Aninwike into key positions in government.
He also praised the administration for delivering a functional Smart Green School, an ongoing Type II Primary Healthcare Centre, the renovation of the old Ozalla Health Centre, and the Ituku–Ishi Ozalla Road project.
While expressing gratitude, Okwuibe appealed for government intervention in the community’s internal road network.
“Although Ozalla may appear adequately served by roads to anyone merely passing through, this impression is misleading. What is visible are largely federal highways that cut across our community. Beyond these major highways, the internal road network linking our autonomous communities, villages, and farmlands remains in a severely dilapidated condition.”
He pledged continued support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the appointment of their son into the Federal Executive Council as a gesture of inclusion and national recognition.
“Accordingly, we pledge to support Your Excellency in 2027 and continue to align with the Federal Government in the spirit of cooperation, continuity, and national development.”

Speaking on behalf of the community, former Information Minister Frank Nweke Jr. said the governor had earned the support of Ozalla people through outstanding performance and effective governance.
“Come 2027, you have our full support. Yes, there could be a few skirmishes here and there, but they are like flies and nothing serious. They do not constitute any threat.”
Nweke described Mbah as a leader with vision and execution capacity, noting that the community had witnessed unprecedented government attention after years of neglect.

He commended the Governor for facilitating the ministerial appointment of Dr. Udeh and other strategic appointments for Ozalla sons and daughters.

Chairman of the Planning Committee and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Mainstream Media, Dan Nwomeh, described the visit as a reaffirmation of the longstanding historical relationship between Owo and Ozalla communities.
He recalled Governor Mbah’s personal intervention in ensuring the successful completion of the Ozalla Smart Green School and the renovation of the community’s oldest healthcare facility.

Responding, Governor Mbah expressed gratitude for the show of support and confidence reposed in his administration.
“If Ozalla is strong, Enugu is strong; if Enugu is strong, the region is strong, and if the region is strong, the country is strong.”
He reiterated that his administration remained committed to inclusive development and equitable distribution of projects across the state.
