Police arrest Four , kill Two suspects linked to abduction of Adelabu’s sister, nephews

Oyo State Police Command has arrested four suspects and killed two others during a rescue operation involving Busola John-Paul, the sister of former Minister of Power and APC governorship aspirant, Bayo Adelabu, and her two children.


According to the Commissioner of Police, Oluwagbemiga Abimbola, the victims were rescued on Saturday night following a tip-off that led security operatives to a three-bedroom bungalow in the Ayegun area of Oluyole Local Government Area.


During the operation, which lasted several hours, police engaged the kidnappers in a shootout. Two suspects were killed, four were arrested, while others escaped with gunshot wounds. Security operatives also recovered firearms, including a pump-action gun.


Busola John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons were abducted on Wednesday morning at Elewura-Challenge in Ibadan. The gunmen reportedly trailed the victims’ vehicle from their residence before intercepting and kidnapping them around 7:30 a.m.
The police said investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
