Sir Odeiga Jideonwo, immediate past President of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) Saturday , handed over to Hon. Nnanyelugo. Onyemelukwe as the 18Th President of the Chamber.
The handover which took place at the International Conference Centre ICC Enugu, brought to an end Jideonwo’s tenure which began in February 2024

Businessmen, industrialists and stakeholders who gathered for the event described Jideonwo’s administration as impactful, especially with the completion of the massive 3,000sqm Premium Exhibition and Convention Hall at the Enugu
International Trade Fair Complex. The new facility, commissioned on 20 February 2026, is already being hailed as a game-changer for business events in Enugu and the wider South-East.
. Nnanyelugo Onyemelukwe, who emerged unopposed as President of the 52nd Council, thanked members for the confidence reposed in him.

He pledged to build on the achievements of the outgoing administration and reposition the Chamber for greater relevance.
One of his immediate priorities will be the successful hosting of the 37th Enugu International Trade Fair scheduled for March 2026. With the new exhibition hall now ready, stakeholders are optimistic that this year’s fair will attract more exhibitors, investors and visitors.
There were goodwill messages and renewed calls for stronger collaboration between the private sector and government to drive economic growth in Enugu State.
For many in attendance, the transition marked not just a change in leadership, but a renewed commitment to expanding commerce and industry in Enugu and South East zone of Nigeria.
