EEDC announces partial system collapse

Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Plc (EEDC) has announced to its customers across the South-East that it experienced a partial system collapse today, at about 11:54 am.

The Group Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Emeka Ezeh in. statement made available to Newsmen on Thursday in Enugu, said the partial system collapse “resulted in the power outage currently experienced by customers served by our subsidiary companies—MainPower, TransPower, FirstPower, NewEra, and EastLand”.

According to him, “The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained, but we are on standby, awaiting restoration of supply.”

The company apologised for the inconvenience the development has caused its esteemed customers..
