Enugu police command marks 2026 customer service week

Enugu State Police Command on 7th October, 2026, marked Customer Service Week 2026 with citizens and security stakeholders across its Area Commands, Divisions and other operational units.

The celebration, which followed the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu,provided an opportunity to appreciate the people of Enugu State for their trust, partnership and support for effective policing and community safety.

According to the statement made available to Newsmen by the Police public relations officer,Enugu state command, SP Daniel Ndukwe on Wednesday in Enugu,” in line with this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” the Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to putting citizens first, listening to their concerns, responding proactively and delivering policing services with professionalism, respect and integrity.

“He stressed that going the extra mile means continually improving service delivery, strengthening police-community partnerships and ensuring that members of the public are treated with dignity and fairness.

“CP Giwa appreciated residents for their continued trust and cooperation, and urged them to sustain their partnership with the Police in preventing crime, maintaining peace and building safer communities. He assured that the Command will continue to improve its services and go the extra mile in providing effective and citizen-focused policing across the State” Ndukwe said.
