042 Street-to-Street honours Anioma with First Patron Award, assures re-election of Governor Mbah

A social group , 042 Street-to-Street, has conferred a First Patron Award on the Special Adviser to the Governor of Enugu on political matters, Hon. Frank Anioma, in recognition of his contributions to good governance and political development in the Enugu state.

Speaking after receiving the award on Monday, September 7, 2026, in his office at Government House, Enugu, Anioma said he was deeply appreciative of the honour. He described it as significant because he was being recognised as the first Patron of the organisation.

Anioma commended members of 042 Street-to-Street for their sacrifices during the 2023 elections, which, he said, contributed to the emergence of Governor Peter Mbah and the current administration.

He said although the group’s individual efforts over the past three years might not have received adequate recognition, developments across the state showed that their support had not been in vain.

The Governor’s ‘Political aide cited improvements in road infrastructure, particularly in areas such as New Haven , Enene as evidence of the administration’s achievements.

According to him, the state government has also commenced efforts to improve water supply, with ductile pipes being laid in areas that had previously lacked access to potable water.
Anioma also highlighted achievements in education and security, noting that improved security had enhanced economic and social activities in the state.
He said the increased presence of businesses, organisations and visitors at facilities such as Hotel Presidential and the International Conference Centre, Enugu, was an indication of growing confidence in the state.
He added that the developments had given members of the group reason to believe that they made the right decision by supporting Governor Mbah in 2023..

Earlier, the Director-General of 042 Street-to-Street, Hon. Prince Uche Mbah, congratulated Anioma on his appointment as Special Adviser to the Governor on political matters.

He described 042 Street-to-Street as a non-political organisation committed to ’propagating the good governance initiatives of Governor Peter Mbah and seeking support for the administration.

Hon Mbah said members of the group contributed to the success of the 2023 election alleging that despite their sacrifices and promises made to them, they had not received the expected recognition or benefits.

He,expressed optimism that the group would receive greater attention and support under the current administration.
The group also commended Anioma for providing an enabling environment that allowed them to feel closer to the government, describing him as accessible and sincere in his dealings.

Other members of the delegation included Hon. Chinedu Enyi, Hon. Prince Onyebuchi Ezike, Hon. Felix Anyadia and Hon. Ifeanyi Obieze.
