Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, Tuesday, visited the physical and credentials screening centre Enugu to assess the progress of the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 police Constables.
He commended members of the screening team, comprising Police Officers and officials of the Police Service Commission, the Federal Character Commission, and other relevant bodies, for their commitment and professionalism. The Commissioner of Police urged them to remain focused and ensure that only qualified and deserving candidates are selected at the end of the exercise.

The police public relations officer, Enugu state police command, SP Daniel Ndukwe in a statement made available to Newsmen on Tuesday.in Enugu, said the Commissioner also addressed the applicants, warning them against falling prey to fraudsters who may attempt to defraud them under the guise of facilitating their recruitment.

He reiterated that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge and advised the applicants to conduct themselves in an orderly manner while strictly adhering to all instructions and guidelines for the screening.
So far, over one hundred applicants have been screened since the exercise commenced on Monday, March 9, 2026.
