Police uncover cult group’s forceful initiation arrest initiators, recover weapons

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command attached to the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad, on 5th December 2025, acted on credible information, uncovered, and arrested six (6) male suspects for forcefully initiating victims into the Supreme Vikings Confraternity on 25th November 2025, in a forest at Ugwu Peak, Iva Valley, Enugu North Local Government Area (LGA).

The police public relations officer Enugu state police command SP Daniel Ndukwe in a statement made available to Newsmen on Saturday in Enugu said, “One (1) locally made double-barrelled pistol and four (4) cutlasses used for their criminal activities, and two (2) empty bottles of Squadron rum used for the initiation, were recovered from the suspects.”

The suspects include Edeh Francis Chigbo, a.k.a “Saint” (aged 22), Ogbu Fabulous, a.k.a. “Nwakanwa” (aged 23), Odom Chiemerie, a.k.a “Coded” (aged 28), Nweke Anayo, a.k.a “Chaplet” (aged 22), Obumneme Obiechina, a.k.a “Biggy” (aged 30), and Chigozie Ugbene, a.k.a “God bless” (aged 20). They all confessed to membership of the secret cult group and their involvement in the criminal acts, and will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
