Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Mamman Giwa, Monday, 9th March 2026, received the team responsible for the Credentials and Physical Screening Exercise of successful applicants from Enugu State in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables.
Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command, SP Daniel Ndukwe in a statement made available to Newsmen on Monday in Enugu, said CP Giwa charged the team to adhere strictly to the ethos of the exercise and conduct the screening with utmost integrity, fairness, and transparency, so as to make the Police Service Commission, the Nigeria Police Force, and the nation at large proud.

The team assured the Commissioner of their preparedness to ensure that due process is followed and that only the best and most qualified applicants are selected. The Police team is led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Promise Udeh, while the Police Service Commission team is led by an Assistant Director, Mr. Obinna Malokwu. Members of both teams are working alongside other relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise.
According to Ndukwe the team is expected to carry out a meticulous and accurate physical and credentials screening of applicants and recommend qualified candidates to advance to the next stage of the recruitment process.
The screening exercise commenced today, 9th March 2026, at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu, and will run until 18th April 2026.
