- Plan your movements, outings, and engagements carefully.

- Avoid all distractions: texting, unsafe calls, or device manipulation while driving.
- Make sure all passengers wear seat belts (front and back seats).

4. Secure Your Home Before Leaving

- Activate your CCTV system if available.
- Do not hide spare keys under mats, flowerpots, or any predictable places.
- Where necessary, entrust your keys to a trustworthy person or institution, such as your church.

- Prevent Fire Outbreaks
- Ensure fire alarms (if installed) are functional.

- Turn off all electrical appliances and sockets before traveling.
- Avoid storing petrol or other flammable substances inside your home.
- Keep emergency fire service numbers easily accessible.
5. Protect Your Family and Finances

- Supervise your children and wards closely, especially in crowded places.
- Be mindful of who you leave them with.
- Be Financially Wise
- Celebrate moderately and spend responsibly.
- Avoid debts and wasteful purchases—January often feels financially longer.
