Enugu police command lauds Gov Mbah for procuring modern crime fighting security equipment

Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Mamman Bitrus Giwa,, has commended the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for procuring and officially launching modern technical crime-fighting equipment gotten through the Enugu State Security Trust Fund.

In a statement made available to Newsmen by the Police public relations officer Enugu state police command, SP Daniel Ndukwe on Tuesday in Enugu, CP Giwa noted that the equipment, unveiled Monday ,in Enugu, reflects the Governor and his Administration’s consistent commitment to strengthening internal security, boosting operational efficiency, and ensuring a safer environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.

He described the intervention as a critical support and a true game-changer. The Commissioner added that the deployment of the equipment will significantly enhance intelligence-led policing, improve crime prevention efforts, and strengthen swift operational response across the State

He emphasized that the modern tools, which include long-ranged surveillance drones, ballistic helmets, bulletproof vests, and operational Hilux vans and motorcycles, will greatly aid in crime detection, tracking, aerial monitoring, improved operatives’ protection, and coordinated field operations.

“The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the resolve of the Police and other security agencies to put the newly acquired assets to optimal and judicious use, ensuring improved security outcomes across Enugu State.

“He further commended Governor Mbah for his unwavering investment in security and his recognition that security and safety remain the foundation of sustainable development.

“CP Giwa urged citizens to remain supportive, vigilant, and cooperative by promptly reporting suspicious persons and their activities, as well as sharing credible information that will assist the police in maintaining peace and security across Enugu State, this festive season and beyond “, Ndukwe said.
