Enugu NAWOJ re-elects Comrade Ngene state Chairperson

Members of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists ( NAWOJ) Enugu state chapter, Wednesday, 14Th October,2025, re-elected Comrade Ngozi Ngene,state Chairperson to lead the union for another three years.

In her speech, Ngene thanked God for seeing her through her first tenure noted that her trust in God saw her true her first tenure and the same faith, brought her into second tenure.

‎”This scripture guides me as I step into this renewed responsibility not relying solely on my own wisdom, but depending fully on God’s direction and the collective strength of this great association.”

She expressed gratitude to members for their support, saying that their trust and and encouragement during her first tenure were instrumental in every achievements they recorded.‎‎ in the past three years.

“We have journeyed together through challenges and triumphs and I am proud of how far we have come. Together, we strengthened the foundation of this association, amplified our voice, and fostered unity and growth.‎‎But as we celebrate this moment, I am reminded that the journey is far from over.‎‎

“This second tenure is not a time for complacency; it is a call to greater service.‎It is a renewed mandate to deepen our impact, to address lingering issues, and to build a stronger, more inclusive, and forward-looking association”, Ngene said..

Unveiling her commitments, she said, “.‎‎as I begin this new chapter with your continued support, I make the following commitments:‎ To consolidate on our past achievements while innovating for the future.‎. To prioritize capacity building, inclusiveness, and development for every member.‎ To promote transparency, accountability, and communication in all our activities.‎. To strengthen partnerships and expand our influence beyond our immediate circle.‎‎

“This is not a journey I can walk alone. I urge all of us executives, members, partners, and friends to recommit ourselves to the ideals and vision of this association. Let us move forward as one team, one family, one purpose.
