Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC) has presented the distribution licence to MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL), having satisfied all regulatory requirements to distribute electricity within Enugu State.

The Chairman of EERC, Chijioke Okonkwo, formally presented the licence to the Managing Director of MEDL, Dr. Ernest Mupwaya at EERC corporate head office, in Enugu.
This was disclosed to newsmen in a statement made available by the Head of Communications,, Emeka Ezeh, on Friday in Enugu
According to Ezeh, those at the event were representatives of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) Board of Directors – Dr. Steve Dike and Barr. Kester Enwereonu, accompanied by the Group Managing Director, Engr. Praveen Chorghade.
Also present were some members of MEDL’s management team, namely: Chief Regulatory Officer, Uche Okala; Chief Commercial Officer, Ikenna Akabogu; Chief Technical Officer, Engr. Chimezie Chukwu; Chief Finance Officer, Mrs. Mercy Ogbonna, and Head of Communications, . Emeka Ezeh.
