Former Governorship candidate and Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial zone, Okey Ezea is dead . Sources said senator Ezea died in Lagos from complications arising from diabetes, which led to his one legs amputated
The source said, “Ideke had diabetes and had returned from the UK. He was being treated in a hospital in Lagos where he had had one of his legs amputated due to complications from the ailment.
“The doctors were doing skin graft to cover the amputated leg when he gave up the ghost,” the source said.
Nigerian Senators have started penning emotional tribute to the deceased Senator.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North, and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, described Ezea’s death as heartbreaking.
