Nsukka PM4PM mobilises over 15,000 people …….As Enugu North senatorial zone vows to deliver Mbah, other candidates

Party members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu North Senatorial Zone have vowed to deliver the Governor of Enugu state,Dr Peter Mbah and other APC candidates in the 2027 general election and September 26 ,2926 local government election,.

They gave the assurance ,at the grand finale of the Progressive Movement for Peter Mbah (PM4PM) sensitisation and mobilisation rally held in Adada field iNsukka.
The rally attracted APC leaders, government officials, traditional and community leaders, women, youths and supporters from Nsukka, Udenu and Igbo-Etiti Local Government Areas

Speaking at the event, the Secretary to the Enugu State Government and Grand Patron of PM4PM, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, said Governor Mbah had demonstrated commitment to youth inclusion by appointing young men and women into his administration.

Onyia commended women for their active support for the governor, as well as men and youths who had continued to support the administration.
He charged youths to use their energy positively and defend the development recorded in the state, warning them against being used to perpetrate electoral violence.
“If they ask you to shoot, say no. If you are asked to carry ballot boxes, say no,” Onyia said.
The SSG described PM4PM as a progressive movement and disclosed that the group had registered more than 10,000 voters across Enugu North Senatorial Zone.
He also urged those seeking to disrupt the state’s zoning arrangement to desist, noting that former governors Chimaroke Nnamani, Sullivan Chime and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi each governed the state for two terms.

Onyia appealed to the people of Nsukka, Udenu and Igbo-Etiti to vote for Mbah and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections, as well as support the party in the forthcoming Enugu State local government election.
The Director-General of PM4PM and Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Osinachi Nnajieze, said politics was about interest, stressing that the interest of Enugu State required support for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Mbah and the welfare of the people.
Nnajieze said the governor had performed well, asking what the opposition had to oppose in the administration’s projects, including the airport, healthcare facilities and infrastructure.
He disclosed that the state government planned to procure about 400 CNG-powered buses fitted with air conditioners.
Also speaking, APC Deputy National Chairman, South, Dr. Ben Nwoye, commended Onyia for establishing PM4PM and urged the people not to listen to politicians seeking to alter the zoning arrangement.

Nwoye called on the people to vote for Tinubu, Mbah and other APC candidates.
The APC Deputy Chairman, South-East, Dr. Oby Ajih, described PM4PM members as an “organic” support group, assuring them of continued support.

Speaking on behalf of PM4PM, Sandra George, Director for Strategies and Special Assistant to the Governor on Revenue, said the mobilisation was not about making noise but about taking the message of the governor’s performance to every community in Nsukka Senatorial Zone.

George thanked coordinators, mobilisers and volunteers for their efforts, urging them to sustain the mobilisation ahead of the elections.
She said Nsukka people had witnessed tangible development under Mbah and would demonstrate their support at the polls.

260 Legacies support group

“Nsukka says yes to performance. It says yes to progress. It says yes to Mbah,” George said.
The Nsukka Local Government Chairman, Hon. Jude Asogwa, said the turnout demonstrated the people’s growing support for the APC and Governor Mbah.
Asogwa said about 15,000 people attended the rally, describing the atmosphere as one of joy and enthusiasm.

He said Nsukka people were prepared to give priority to the APC and its candidates, particularly Mbah, whom he described as the leader of the party in Enugu State.
According to him, the massive turnout showed that the people were ready to work for the success of the party and support the governor’s administration, expressing confidence that the mobilisation would translate into votes for the APC.

Representatives of Udenu and Igbo-Etiti also addressed the gathering, expressing support for Mbah and the APC and pledging to mobilise their communities for the party ahead of the elections.

Also speaking, the APC chairmanship candidate for Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, High Chief Dr. Chris Simon, said the people of the area were prepared to support the party and its candidates.

Others who spoke at the rally were the traditional ruler of Edem-Ani and the chairman ,Enugu state Traditional Council, HRM Igwe Samuel Asadu, Dan Shere, among others. They highlighted Governor Mbah’s projects, the 260 Smart schools, 260 Type 2, Primary Health Care CentresType-2 , roads, human capital development and other infrastructure as reasons for their support for his administration.
