A total of three hundred and eighty-five (385) applicants from Enugu State have so far been successfully screened in the ongoing nationwide physical and credentials screening exercise for the recruitment of 50,000 General Duty and Specialist Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force at the Enugu State centre.
In a statement made available to Newsmen on Monday, the Police public relations officer of the Command, SP Daniel Ndukwe ,said, the screening exercise, jointly conducted by officers of the Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission, commenced on March 9, 2026, at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu. Since its commencement, applicants from different Local Government Areas of the state have been screened according to their web portal–assigned dates.

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Mamman Giwa, who inspected the screening centre, assessed the process and interacted with officials and applicants. He emphasized the need for transparency, fairness, and strict adherence to established procedures, while urging the applicants to remain disciplined and compliant with all screening requirements as they pursue the opportunity to serve the nation.
